Description
''Building on President Obama’s announcement in his State of the Union Address, today the Administration is unveiling details about the 「Precision Medicine Initiative」, a bold new research effort to revolutionize how we improve health and treat disease. The Initiative will also engage a million or more Americans to volunteer to contribute their health data to improve health outcomes, fuel the development of new treatments, and catalyze a new era of data-based and more precise medical treatment. Launched with a $215 million investment in the President’s 2016 Budget, the Precision Medicine Initiative will pioneer a new model of patient-powered research that promises to accelerate biomedical discoveries and provide clinicians with new tools, knowledge, and therapies to select which treatments will work best for which patients.'' In addition to the U.S., many countries around the world are beginning to research this goal.
Master’s Program in Clinical Genomics and Proteomics allows clinical medical personnel and researchers to receive the latest training in genomics, proteomics and metabolomics. All caregivers and researchers can apply the training and their clinical knowledge to personalized treatment. To foster students’ interdisciplinary thinking and broaden their international perspective, the program invites well-known foreign scholars as visiting professors to enhance the quality of education and research.
●The first academic program in Taiwan aims for clinical applications of personalized medicine.
●Master Program in Clinical Genomics and Proteomics was established in 2013
●This program provides the comprehensive classes in genomics, proteomics and metabolomics. With the collaboration between clinical groups, we pursuits the mission of translational medicine and optimization of drug prescription.
●Through the communication with international scholars, the program helps expand international perspectives.
