Description
醫學科技學院成立於2010年,結合本校以醫療應用領域的醫學檢驗暨生物技術學系及醫學資訊研究所為基礎,2010年起並與國內兩大學術研究權威機構:國家衛生研究院及中央研究院合作開辦的「癌症生物學與藥物研發」、「神經再生醫學」(2022更名為神經醫學)及「轉譯醫學」等三博士學位學程。另於2015年、2017年、2020年及2022年分別成立「醫學生物科技博士學位學程」、「癌症生物學與藥物研發研究所碩士班」、「國際轉譯科學博士學位學程」及「神經醫學博士學位學程」。

醫學檢驗暨生物技術學系設立於1965年,已培育出數千名傑出校友,在產、官、學、研各界均有傑出表現;該系提供多元且紮實之實驗醫學相關課程與實務訓練,以培育臨床檢驗工作人才為主、生物技術產業研發人員及基礎醫學研究人員為輔。2015年新成立醫學生物科技博士學位學程,自此將生命科學研究帶入一個嶄新的時代。

領先亞洲各大學率先創設的醫學資訊研究所,已與美國芬利大學(UNIVERSITY OF FINDLAY)建立雙聯學位合作;2015年進一步與兩間新加坡企業PULSESYNC、CADI SCIENTIFIC簽署合作備忘錄,於2016年起選送學生暑期實習;臨床資訊學是運用資訊科技的理論與方法,協助病患照護作業,提昇照護品質。基礎醫學資訊學研究內容包括生物醫學資料庫及資料分析與探勘、疾病之遺傳定點資料庫等,發展生物醫學影像及訊號處理技術,整合資訊科技及公共衛生,以轉譯醫學為未來研究方向。

癌症生物學與藥物研發博士學位學程則以臨床醫療需求為導向,發展癌症新藥開發,以及在癌症早期診斷與治療方面找出快速有效的方法。後又於2017年成立癌症生物學與藥物研發研究所,結合現有之癌症生物學與藥物研發博士學位學程,建構碩博一貫之完整教學體系,使學生能從基礎紮根,培養癌症生物學與藥物研發研究基本的專業知識與學習態度。神經再生醫學博士學程主要探討嚴重中樞神經系統損傷及神經退化性疾病的生理病理機制,以研發有效治療或改善相關疾病的藥物或策略。轉譯醫學博士學位學程則是建構完整的轉譯醫學研究與教學系統,以培養跨領域之轉譯醫學研究人才。國際轉譯醫學博士學位學程於2020年開始招生,除了培育優秀的國際轉譯科學研究人才以推動本校與其他國家的實質教育交流之外,透過與多國國際研究生的雙向溝通更能掌握在選題與研究上符合國際需求。2022年增設國際神經醫學碩士學位學程,可結合神經醫學博士學位學程建構碩博一貫之完整教學體系,使學生能從基礎紮根,本學程將全面招收國際研究生。
