Abstract
  肥胖是體內能量代謝失衡造成,當熱量攝取超過能量消耗時,造成白色脂肪組織堆積增加。除了可藉由運動增加能量消耗,亦可藉由增加體內棕色脂肪組織增加熱能生成,降低體重。研究指出,人體或動物在停經或卵巢切除後,可增加肥胖風險,而補充雌性激素,可使體重降低。飲食中許多因子已被指出具有抗肥胖作用,其中,大蒜或洋蔥可抑制因高脂飲食所誘導動物肥胖作用,且可促進脂肪細胞棕色化因子表現,然而對於因停經所誘導的抗肥胖影響尚不明確,因此本研究以卵巢切除動物誘發停經肥胖後,分別於飲食混入2.5%大蒜、5%大蒜、5%洋蔥及2.5%大蒜合併5%洋蔥(w/w)之飲食,或以管餵介入100 mg/kg/day S-methyl-L-cysteine (SMC)、1 mg/kg/day Alendronate (ALN),於介入8週後予以犧牲。結果顯示,大鼠於OVX後可誘發肥胖,包括體重、脂肪相對重量、血液Leptin濃度增加,且伴隨白色脂肪組織分化基因C/EBPα mRNA及Leptin表現增加。在介入大蒜、洋蔥、SMC或ALN後可顯著改善因OVX誘導之肥胖,並降低體重、脂肪相對重量、血中脂肪、血液Leptin濃度,且2.5%大蒜可降低白色脂肪組織白色脂肪細胞分化因子Leptin、C/EBPα mRNA表現、增加棕色脂肪組織分化指標PRDM16、PGC-1α mRNA、UCP1蛋白表現、雌性激素相關蛋白CYP19、ERα。總言之,大鼠在OVX後會促進肥胖發生,然而介入大蒜或洋蔥後可抑制肥胖及降低血脂。
