臺灣大學校院資訊素養相關課程之現況

Abstract
資訊素養是一種能察覺、評估、分析與利用資訊的能力。從1990 年代開始,
此一概念在美國的重要性與日俱增,進入二十一世紀這個知識經濟時代,其更是
一個熱門的議題。本文首先就資訊素養之定義、其與大學教育和通識教育的關
係、美國的相關文獻、與臺灣的相關研究做一文獻回顧,之後蒐集臺灣所有大專
校院的相關課程進行分析,期能呈現資訊素養教育在臺灣的大學校院之現況。研
究結果有四,包括:1) 臺灣164 所大學校院中,僅有38 所(23.2%)有開設資
訊素養相關課程,顯見資訊素養教育在臺灣尚有很大的發展空間;2) 臺灣有開
設資訊素養相關課程的大學校院中,高教體系多於技職體系,但私立學校卻是多
於公立學校;3) 臺灣大學校院的資訊素養教育,主要即由通識教育中心來主導,
而授課老師多為校內的教師或該校圖書館組長職級以上的同仁來擔任;以及4)
臺灣大學校院的資訊素養課程,在內容上仍以圖書館與各式圖書資源的利用為
主;在決定資訊的性質與範圍、以及對跟資訊相關的其他議題方面的熟稔度,仍
需要加強在教學上的設計。文末,筆者認為此以通識課程的方式來教導低年級大
學生資訊素養的相關概念與技巧是最適宜的模式,期望臺灣的各大學校院可以更
重視資訊素質教育,有更多的學校可以開設相關課程,也建議授課老師在課程規
劃時,能參考美國圖書館學會「高等教育資訊素養能力標準」之內容,提供學生
更完整的學習計畫。
