背景
志願服務已然是社會上不可或缺的助力,醫療院所中的運用尤為重要,同時妥善使用高齡人力也成為趨勢,更是我國高齡化進程不可避免的演進方向,兩者皆十分適合在現今社會做成效檢視,故本研究以在醫院服務的中高齡暨高齡(以下皆稱中高齡以上)志願服務者自我感知變化為題來進行。考量志工人力的運作受到個人特質、服務經驗的影響,可將其作為自變項,據以分析中高齡以上志願者在服務中的所得。
目的
本研究採用結構化問卷進行採樣,以臺北市南區某醫學中心志工隊為研究對象蒐集資訊。研究參考美國Nancy Morrow-Howell博士於2009年發表在老年學家期刊之論文Who Benefits From Volunteering? Variations in Perceived Benefits,並引用其問卷工具。該問卷目標在探討志願服務者參與服務後的影響,包含志工個人、家庭及社區。本研究亦期待透過此架構調查中高齡以上志工在醫院體系內服務後的各種影響。
方法
本研究探討臺北市某醫學中心45歲以上志工參與醫院志願服務後的主觀助益感受。共調查100至150位志工,採用39題的結構式問卷,問卷依據Morrow-Howell所發表之〈Who Benefits From Volunteering? Variations in Perceived Benefits〉中具信效度的量表改編,內容包括基本資料、服務經驗與助益感受。資料分析使用描述性統計、t檢定、變異數與多元迴歸分析,探討服務經驗與個人特質對個人、家庭與社區層面助益感受的影響。
結果
多數志工表示志願服務有助於心理健康、自我價值與社交互動,也有不少人認為家庭關係獲得改善。雖然社區層面的影響較不一致,但部分志工感受到公共意識有所提升。每週服務時數、訓練經驗與制度支持與助益感受呈正相關,影響程度大於總服務年資。參與動機以心理與社會層面為主,物質因素影響較小。
結論
醫院志願服務有助於中高齡者提升心理健康、家庭關係與社區參與感。穩定參與、完善訓練與制度支持是提升成效的關鍵。建議未來強化志工與社區的連結,並提供持續支持,以提升志工的參與動機與公共認同感。
