Abstract
隨著醫療科技的進步,台灣在1993年就已經跨過聯合國所定義65歲以上老年人口超過7%的門檻,成為高齡化國家。近年來,台灣人口老化的速度非常快,根據內政部截至2008年的最新統計,台灣65歲以上的老年人口數已高達240萬人,佔全台灣人口總數的10.4%。台灣臨床失智症協會針對台灣地區失智症盛行率的研究調查顯示,65歲以上失智症的盛行率約占5-6%,但是隨著年齡的增加,則盛行率變呈現倍數增加,在失智症類型的研究結果顯示,台灣地區以阿茲海默氏症(Alzheimer’s disease, AD)為首,而血管型失智症(vascular dementia, VaD)次之。

本研究以簡易智能評估量表為主要的研究工具,並使用精神疾病診斷與統計手冊(DSM-IV)、美國神經病學與中風研究所和神經科學國際研究協會(NINDS-AIREN)和影像檢驗為輔助工具分類出原發性退化型失智症和血管型失智症;利用Logistic迴歸、分類迴歸樹(CART)和輔助向量機(SVM)分別所收集的資料在簡易智能評估量表中六項認知能力的得分情形進行分析與探討。從研究結果得知,使用五個有差異的變數所建構出的Logistic迴歸模型和強制加入四個沒有差異的變數所建構出的模型之正確率分別為0.6991和0.6372;當使用分類迴歸樹為建構模式時,其正確率分別為0.6903與0.7168;若使用輔助向量機為建構模式時,其正確率為0.7345和0.9027。從結果得知,簡易智能評估量表中六項認知能力並不是相互獨立的,若使用線性的方法,並無法有效的將相互不獨立的變數分離,若使用多維度、超平面的輔助向量機建構模型時,對於分類不同類型的失智症有良好效果。
