Abstract
肥胖易衍生許多慢性疾病,為近年來備受重視的健康問題之一,而天然植物來源的多酚類可能有助於改善脂質代謝和降低體內發炎反應。火龍果之廢棄物-果皮中富含多酚類物質,因此本實驗利用高脂高蔗糖飲食誘發大鼠肥胖之動物模式觀察火龍果 (Hylocereus undatus) 果皮萃取物的介入是否有助於延緩或改善肥胖所導致的問題。實驗使用 40 隻雄性 Wistar 大鼠,進行為期 8 週的實驗,分為以下 5 組 (每組 8 隻):控制組、高脂高蔗糖飲食組、低劑量及高劑量火龍果皮萃取物組 (於高脂高蔗糖飲食中添加每公斤體重500 mg和1000 mg 火龍果皮萃取物) 和火龍果皮萃取沉澱物組 (於高脂高蔗糖飲食中添加每公斤體重1000 mg 火龍果皮萃取沉澱物)。實驗結果發現,餵予大鼠高脂高蔗糖飲食確實會造成體重、肝臟和腹部脂肪堆積的增加,同時會增加肝臟中三酸甘油酯和發炎細胞激素的濃度,高劑量火龍果皮萃取物及火龍果皮萃取沉澱物的介入有助於改善體重增加和腹部脂肪堆積的情形,且介入火龍果皮萃取物之三組皆可降低肝臟中三酸甘油酯、發炎細胞激素的濃度和 SREBP-1、p-NF-B/NF-B、p-JNK/JNK及增加 IB蛋白質表現量。由本實驗結果可知火龍果皮萃取物的介入有助於減少飲食誘發腹部脂肪堆積和發炎反應,而可能達到預防或延緩因肥胖所導致代謝疾病的發生。
