Abstract
於近年的軍事衝突中,爆炸所引發的腦損傷案例(Blast-induced traumatic brain injury , bTBI)日益增加。此傷害會造成腦神經損傷,導致患者身體機能不全,甚至死亡。然而,爆炸造成傷害的機制仍不完全清楚。過去研究指出,爆炸所引起高壓聲波的直接衝擊是造成此類腦外傷的最主要原因(primary blast injuries)。因此,許多研究團隊試著發展出能造成類似爆炸所造成腦外傷的設備。然而,到目前為止,此類設備的研發製造仍未完備。因此,本實驗的目的為發展出一套可以產生穩定衝擊波造成腦外傷的設備,並用其來探討衝擊波造成腦外傷的病理生理機制。本實驗初步研究顯示,使用不同的氣體及不同厚度或層數的阻隔物質會造成不同的衝擊波。基本上,氦氣所造成的衝擊波相對比使用氬氣為高,不論氬氣或氦氣所產生衝擊波的大小與使用阻隔物質的厚度或層數呈正相關。此外,本衝擊波所造成的腦外傷會引起腦外傷特定生物指標(GFAP)的提升,此結果充分顯示,此產生高壓聲波的設備是一個可有效造成腦外傷的設備。接下來實驗中,我們將用此設備來探討高壓聲波所造成的病理生理機制。
