The constant management of health activity can be burdensome, further deteriorating the frailty of older adults. This study aims to determine the effect of mind-body exercises (MBE) on frailty-related outcomes among older adults. Methods & Materials: We conducted a network meta-analysis of randomized controlled trials (RCTs) to determine the effects of different types of MBE on walking speed and balance among older adults. We searched PubMed, Embase, Google Scholar, CINAHL, and the Cochrane Library for RCTs published from inception to June 2024. Data synthesis was performed using the statistical software Stata (version 15, StataCorp, TX, USA). Results: A total of thirty-six studies were included in our analysis. Our results showed that Yoga and Pilates had a significant effect on improving balance (SMD = 1.48; 95% CI 0.58, 2.38) [Yoga], and -0.61; 95% CI -1.20, -0.01) [Pilates]). The rank probability of efficacy suggested that form of MBE: Yoga (SUCRA = 91.3%) demonstrated the comparable effects among the other MBE interventions for improving balance. Conclusion: Our research identified that Yoga and Pilates significantly improved balance. Nurses in community settings must consider our positive results when providing physical activities to these older adults.系所名稱:護理學系碩士在職專班Effect of Mind-Body Exercises on Frailty-Related Outcomes among Older Adults: A Network Meta-Analysis of Randomized Controlled Trialsthesis
